  1. Let your food shine!  After a delicious dinner, why not treating your family to a SCRUMPTIOUS dessert like


    So this week we're going to feature recipes that require little clean-up where your meal is prepared in one pan or skillet.   Here's a family favorite with a twist, all you need is a cast iron skillet, we're going to show you how to make a SIMPLE Mac' n Cheese Dinner that TASTE like you baked it in the oven!

    Cast Iron Skillet Mac 'n Cheese

    Prep time: 20 minutes
    Cook time: 30 minutes or less
    Ingredients:


    1 1/2 cup of Barillo Ponto Elbows
    2 cups of diced Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
      (Your cheese choices is up to you.  You can add
      as many different cheeses as you like)
    1 slice of Kraft Singles American Cheese
    1/2 teaspoon of sugar
    1/4 teaspoon of salt
    1/4 teaspoon of pepper
    2 tablespoon of flour
    1/2 cup of milk
    1/2 cup of diced onion
    1 tablespoon of Seasoned 4C Bread Crumbs


    Half fill a medium pot with water, bring to a boil. Add your macaroni.   Follow the directions on Barillo Ponto Elbows box.  To avoid your macaroni sticking together add a 1/4 teaspoon of vegetable oil.


    Next mix together your flour and milk making a paste.  


    Place skillet on stove, turn to medium heat.  Quickly add your macaroni.  Pour in your flour and milk mixture.   Stir and with your hand sprinkle your diced cheese evenly over your macaroni. Keep stirring so your macaroni doesn't stick to the skillet.


    NEXT add your onions, salt, pepper and sugar and stir.  Keep stirring you will notice your macaroni becoming this delicious macaroni and cheese in the skillet.  Sprinkle your 4C Bread Crumbs over your macaroni. Now it's ready to eat!


    Serve with a tossed salad or your favorite veggie.
